Sault Fast Pitch Hosting “Learn to Play” Sessions for Girls Ages 8–10

Sault Fast Pitch is excited to welcome young athletes to a series of Learn to Play Fast Pitch sessions this spring. Designed for girls ages 8–10, these sessions offer a fun, supportive introduction to the game of fastpitch (softball) — no experience required.

The program focuses on building confidence, learning new skills, and enjoying an active team environment where all skill levels are encouraged to participate.

Session Dates and Location

  • Sunday, May 31 at 2:00 PM
  • Sunday, June 7 at 2:00 PM
  • Sunday, June 14 at 2:00 PM

All sessions will take place at Strathclair Park – Field D

Each session is limited to 25 participants, ensuring plenty of individual attention and a positive experience for everyone involved.

What Participants Will Learn

  • Throwing and catching
  • Hitting basics
  • An introduction to windmill pitching

Whether your child is brand new to the sport or looking to build on existing skills, these introductory sessions will cover the essential fundamentals of fastpitch.

What to Bring

Participants should come prepared with:

  • Running shoes
  • A water bottle
  • Glove, bat, and helmet

For those who don’t have their own gear, gloves, bats, and helmets will be provided during the session.

Registration and Cost

  • Cost: $5 per participant, per session
  • Payment can be made at the field via cash or e-transfer

Participants are asked to arrive 10 minutes early for registration.

Weather Policy

In case of rain, participants will be notified by email at least one hour prior to the start of the session.
